Here's a wonderful way for children to take an imaginative and educational trip back to biblical times. Papercrafter A. G. Smith has created a delightful three-dimensional toy representing Noah's ark-only this time, Noah will have the help of youngsters ages seven and up as they cut out and assemble a full-color 12-inch-long model of the fabled vessel. Also included are two-sided figures of Noah and his wife as well as a cavalcade of familiar animals. All figures are printed in full color on both sides of heavy stock and come with their own bases to stand on.
Children will not only find this fascinating object of biblical history fun to construct, they're also sure to be entertained and enlightened as they pair up 22 animals (reindeer, rabbits, polar bears, baboons, ostriches, wolves , camels, elephants, lions, zebras and alligators) in their orderly procession into the ark; another eight animals (tiger, giraffe, parrot, hippopotamus, goat, monkey, walrus and gnu) peer calmly out of windows aboard the boat.
Step-by-step instructions, easy-to-follow diagrams (and perhaps a bit of help from an adult) all make it easy for modelers old enough to handle scissors and glue to construct their own sturdy versions of the ark and its colorful inhabitants.
