Millions of years ago this gigantic monster shook the earth when it walked, giving rise to its name, Brontosaurus, or "thunder lizard." Today, renamed Apatosaurus, the "deceptive lizard" is recognized as one of the largest of the Mesozoic monsters. From its fossilized skeletal remains, modern man has been able to piece together a pictorial puzzle revealing a long-necked, short-bodied reptile that often weighed over 30 tons.
Now children ages 8 and up can construct their own sturdy and impressive paper model skeleton of this massive prehistoric creature. Step-by-step instructions and easy-to-follow diagrams enable most youngsters to assemble the 20" -long, 8" -high model with little or no adult help and with only a minimum of equipment (scissors and glue).
Ideal as a school project or for adding an interesting visual effect to a young dinosaur fan's room, this entertaining and educational project is sure to fascinate young and old alike.
