The Germans captured many British MkIV tanks and turned them against their former owners. In fact, the Germans equipped 6 of their Sturmpanzerabteilungen (Assault tank detachments) with MkIVs and only 3 with their own A7Vs. The model is "Lissy", a "Female" of Sturmpanzerabteilung 11 or 12. The Germans re-bored and re-chambered the Lewis Guns for German ammunition. They sometimes installed an anti-tank rifle in the front of the driver's cab in place of the machine gun.
