The SdKfz 231 was a German six-wheeled heavy armoured car of the Second World War.  The vehicle was based on a 6x4 Daimler-Benz  truck chassis with an armoured hull and turret added.  The SdKfz 231 was manned by a crew of four and armed with a 20 mm KwK 38 cannon and a coaxial 7.92 mm MG13 machine-gun. The SdKfz 231 had a top speed of 65 kmh and a range of 250 km.
