"The M24 Chaffee was the light tank of american forces at the very end of WWII. The M24 first saw combat in the Ardennes in January 1945 where it proved very effective and reliable . The M24 was considered the finest light tank in the world, but was too vulnerable to the new German tank, and its contribution to the WWII remained marginal. M24 were employed later in the Korean War, where they proved to be more successful in reconnaisance missions than in confronting soviet medium tanks used by North Korean army. France employed M24s in Indo-China in infantry support missions with good results."
